BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Pascale Otis, Biologist – After working as a scientist for many years in the polar regions, Pascale decided to try filmmaking ! She made Mr Bingles one evening with some Fimo modelling clay and decided to make a short film for Grant’s 2-year old nephew. The film “Mr Bingles flies his kite !” was such a success with his nephew that Pascale decided to make more films with the puppet. “Mr Bingles goes fishing” is the second film made with Mr Bingles. These films are made for young children, just for fun, with no funding at all !

Grant Redvers, Environmental scientist – Grant has been working in the polar regions for the last 13 years. Volunteering to be Mr Bingles’ puppeteer, he and Pascale made their first film (“Mr Bingles flies his kite !”). Because Grant and Pascale are keen sailors (they have both sailed to the Arctic and Antarctic more than once, and across the Pacific and Atlantic oceans), they decided to take Mr Bingles for a sail on their 20-foot Magnum on lake Taupo, New Zealand.
